It’s a new year which means a new SeaZon here at HHS. Most of the stars in the 2016 SeaZon will be back in rare form looking to stamp their legacy in the program. Starting with the new 2017 BIG3 which brings back She Real and Suzann Christine. The new name to join them as the faces of the company will be SluggoDaDon from Queens. In the middle of the 2016 SeaZon Sluggo propelled himself to the top spot in the M. Hip Hop Rankings after winning his second Title. Sluggo’s consistent high level performances has made him a household name at HHS. He has raised the bar on how to perform and put on a show on the main stage. Another name to watch out for this year is Long Island’s own Mula. This young prodigy along with his producer Casso have so much unreleased heat stored that’s ready to flame up the SeaZon. Mula has also climbed up the Top 10 M Hip Hop rankings and landed right behind Sluggo at the #2 spot. On the R&B side Mystro from Vermont will be pushing for his second title and has a good shot of moving up the rankings. He’s currently ranked #3 spot in the R&B rankings and can possibly pass Black&White with another strong year. Now as far as the leading ladies this year it starts with the R&B queen Suzann Christine. Su will continue headlining the showcases as the main attraction. We can’t forget Harlem’s own She Real who’s still the #1 ranked W Hip Hop artist. She just dropped RHHSE3 that has been doing well. Last but not least Present Burna out Queens will be back to with new heat.
Now let’s get right to the young prospects to watch out for this year . Lucy from Detroit has been climbing up the W. Hip Hop Rankings and landed at the #3 spot after her SeaZon 26 performance. She is the heart of Detroit and wears it on her sleeve courageously. Jersey’s top Notch MC Mason is not new but he’s bringing a new sound to the 2017 showcases. We also can’t forget WeTheWest’s Bron, Piff, IC & Mono. Those guys are consistently putting out heat on a consistent basis. The Open Mic circuit is also putting up a medley of prospect like it did in last year. Starting with the new SeaZon 26 Champ GQ from Queens, Cheavvy Langz, Magniff, Nera and Derek J. All these artist are on the rise and may be the next showcase Champion. So there is no doubt that this SeaZon will be jam packed with talent. What’s even more mind blowing is that I’m sure there’s going to be a wave of new comers that will instantly spark a buzz in the program.
